Shocking moment two Oklahoma firefighters are sent flying after being struck by an out-of-control U-Haul trailer at the scene of a crash

Two firefighters in Oklahoma narrowly escaped with their lives after being struck by an out-of-control U-Haul trailer.

Officials in the state released dramatic dashcam video of an SUV losing control before the U-Haul trailer it was towing slammed into two firefighters who were already on the scene responding to a crash.

The two men with the Stringtown Fire Department were standing at the side of the road when an oncoming vehicle appeared to hydroplane.\

The spinning SUV ended up striking the side of a parked emergency vehicle which saw the trailer spin around and directly smash into the two men.

As one firefighter faced the out-of-control vehicle, he raised his arms and looked as though he was attempting to push his colleague out of the way before the trailer sent both of them flying several feet in the air.

Incredibly, the firefighters did not suffer any broken bones and 'miraculously' walked away with just bruises.

'This is a graphic reminder to slow down, especially when roads are slick and you see flashing lights,' the police said.
